Three Small Celluloid Fans from the first quarter of the 20th century, suitable for dolls or young girls. To include a cream brisé with 18 inner sticks and two guards, celluloid loop, the recto painted in simple floral swags, the tiny flowers in blue or white; a smaller example again with blue or white flowers, this time with the addition of gold lines, celluloid loop, eighteen inner sticks and two guards. Marked on the rear guard "DEC 1913"; a third celluloid fan, the two guards a darker cream than the twenty-one inner sticks, the latter being pierced above and below the ribbon, and silvered to emphasise sprays of white flowers. The verso is plain; and A Miniature Wood Fan, the guards painted in red, the gorge sticks plain, patterned paper leaf, top border with the addition of white marabou. (4)
