Blair's collection contains 50 sermons covering death and immorality to the duties of middle age. Hopkins was a prominent clergyman and social reformer with strong views against slavery which helped ignite the first major antislavery movement in America. Scott's journal follows his preachings and travels through every part of the U. S. at the time.
