Tibetan Bronze and Mixed Metals Vajra Phurba
Cast bronze dagger with gilt highlights and brown patina. The lower half of the shaft consists of a three sided blade with snakes, emerging from the mouth of a makara (mythical aquatic creature) guarding the joint of the hilt and the blade. Stylised "vajra" gilt double thunderbolt. The finial depicting three Vajrabhairava heads, The Bodhisattva of Wisdom, 'Dharma-protector' Terminating Death.
Condition: Good, nice patina, some oxidation.
