Mid-late 20th century AD. A set of ten loose vellum(?) rectangular leaves from a Sutra manuscript, each with five lines of calligraphic text to each side and the first with a hand-tinted miniature of Buddha sitting cross-legged on a dais; the group held within two substantial wooden end-boards each with carved floral designs and metal appliqués to the outer face and to the inner face a hand-tinted paper strip with images of Buddha and yab-yum motifs. 637 grams, 36cm (14").
