Tibetan Gilt Bronze Deity Figure
A Tibetan statue of the Buddhist deity Avalokiteshvara (known as Chenrezig in Tibet). Avalokiteshvara is seen in their eleven face form, standing with 8 hands either in mudras or holding iconographic elements. Some traces of the polychrome remains on the statue.
Dimensions are: 4 3/4 inches tall X 2 1/2 inches wide, 12.07 cm X 6.35 cm. Weight: 114.16 grams. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is a crack to the ribbon on the outfit, with a repair to the end of one of the ribbons.
Provenance: From a private collection in Pennsylvania.
