Tibetan Thangka, Early 19th Century

A Tibetan thangka from the early 19th century. Painted on paper with people bringing gifts to a deity. It is in a fairy landscape with attendants and guardian lions around the deity. In the distance a monk is seen in a cave. It has a decorative floral silk backing and cover with a dowel.

Dimensions: painting- 27 inches tall X 18 inches wide; 68.6 cm tall X 45.7 cm wide, cover- 53 inches tall X 31 inches wide; 134.6 cm tall X 78.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: It has age wear, including cracking and staining.
