Tiffany Studios Gold Favrile Glass Prisms
A set of nineteen vintage favrile glass prisms from Tiffany Studios. Each has a beautiful iridescent coloration which fades from citron to amber. Each prism is composed with a faceted face and flat back. They are rounded to one end, finished with a spear end to the top, affixed with a wire for hanging. They bear a slightly crinkled finish, characteristic of the hand-wrought appearance of favrile glass. This particular style of iridescent glass was patented by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1894. These prisms are dated between 1890s-1930s, and would have been used to accent candle sticks, sconces, and chandeliers.
