Tim Hazell (Illinois/Tennessee/Mexico, 20th/21st Century) abstract mixed media on board painting titled "Ritmo (Rhythm)' depicting a musician playing an instrument. Signed and dated "Tim Hazell '96" lower right. Float mounted and housed in a black wooden frame. Board: 24 5/8" H x 20 1/2" W. Sight: 29 5/8" H x 25 3/4" W. Framed: 31 3/4" H x 27 5/8" W. Provenance: Art Collection of former Watkins College of Art; proceeds benefit scholarship endowment for students in the new Watkins College of Art at Belmont University. Note: Interdisciplinary artist Tim Hazell was an instructor at Watkins Institute of Art and Design and Cheekwood in Nashville TN. He has acted as a consultant for the faculty of the University of Juarez and thirteen primary and secondary schools in Chicago in the area of the implementation of creative arts programs. He has taught comparative and artistic anatomy, painting, drawing, composition and techniques and procedures at the Instituto Allende, where he acted as academic advisor in both the Bachelor of Visual Arts and Master of Fine Arts programs.
Condition Report: Overall good condition with minor areas of loss, largest 6", to edges of board. Frame with minor areas of loss, abrasions.
