Tin Spice Box with 6 Canisters
Outer box length: 9.5 inches Canister width: 3 inches Canister height (excluding handle): 3.5 inches. A 19th-century spice chest constructed from tin-plated iron. The set includes a rectangular outer box with a hinged lid, a front latch, and a brass bail-style handle mounted to the top. The interior is fitted with six individual square canisters, each featuring a hinged lid, a ring-pull handle, and a front tab closure. A curved, perforated tin nutmeg grater is permanently mounted to the underside of the main lid. The outer box is supported by eight circular fabric pads applied to the bottom corners. While visual research suggests a possible association with Kreamer, no maker's marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the metal surfaces. A wooden ruler present in the images is printed with the text MADE IN U.S.A.
