Tinka was born 1954 New Orleans, LA., and currently residing in Hillsborough, NC since 1988. Tinka received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1977 after attending The Cleveland Institute of Art and The Kansas City Art Institute. Tinka Jordy is currently the vice chair of the Orange County Arts Commission Advisory Board. She describes her figurative clay works as "full of surface cracks, fissures and imperfections that express the earth, the passing of time, our mortality, and the search for spirituality. I work on them until they look back at me."
Good estate condition; roughness along lower edges with some expected small areas of loss to due sculptural irregularities.
