Tintype – Cavalryman With Cigar

Quarter plate tintype of an unidentified Federal private holding a cigar and m1860 cavalry saber. His jacket appears to have been altered with the removal of trim and a lowered collar. His gauntlets and hat sit upon a table adorned with a US flag. Light colorized tinting throughout including his trousers, cravat, and a dot of orange embellishing his cigar. Great character and content. Image is housed in a full leatherette case.
