Tintype of Mounted Cavalryman Pointing Revolver

Beautifully tinted, bright and clear, this sixth-plate tintype of an armed Union cavalryman mounted on his dark-colored horse draws the viewer in with incredible composition. He holds his Remington revolver steady, aimed at an unknown target for effect. The horse managed to stay still for the exposure, quite a feat. Condition is fine, with no bends to the plate. This is a top-shelf Union soldier image. Housed in a complete leatherette case.
