Toon Kelder is one of the painters who developed their own style at the beginning of the 20th century under the influence of the avant-garde painters in Paris. In addition, he was driven by a constant urge to innovate. In the 1920s he painted flowers, figures, nudes and cityscapes in expressive and strong brushwork and colors, characteristic of the Bergen school. This was followed by a period between 1930 and 1945 in which his work became increasingly imaginative and rarefied in character.

Viewing is of course possible. We also have our own in-house frame shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. We also use restorers from the trade organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to use this, we would of course like to hear from you.
