The available engines were the 6-cylinder petrol (FJ) , the 4-cylinder diesel (BJ) and the 6-cylinder diesel (HJ) . These special HJ45 pickups in LWB version are very rarely offered for sale. Only a handful of these pickups were delivered throughout Europe in 1978. This original Land Cruiser was delivered new in the French Dordogne. For decades it was used to transport fuel to tractors and agricultural vehicles on vineyards. The winegrower was very careful with his Land Cruiser, it had very little rust when it was bought 12 years ago by two Toyota enthusiasts and connoisseurs of the HJ. Our HJ45 is equipped with a 3. 6L 6-cylinder diesel engine with 97 hp. It is an LWB (long wheelbase) version. The neat 16" rims have good hubs. The 4-speed gearbox is coupled to a high and low gearing. This for the heavy terrain work. During the restoration, no expense or effort was spared to return this Land Cruiser to its original condition. The sheet metal and paintwork is of a very high quality, the HJ is sprayed in the original 'Rustic Green' factory colour. The cabin, the interior and the woodwork in the cargo area were completely restored. This restoration was done with great care and attention to detail. Even the original spot welds have been retained. The sheet metal worker spent 250 hours on the body. This had a fantastic result. A lot was technically renewed, original factory parts were used. The entire project took more than 1,500 hours. An extensive report of this excellent restoration is available. The original French registration papers are available. The Land Cruiser has matching numbers and is in excellent condition! The original tool set and French papers are included. A excellent car in mint condition, rarely seen.
