Decorative head-, tailpieces and initials. The first edition of a first hand testimony on the Jewish life and conditions, in the early 18th century in the Kingdom of Sardinia and its depending states (Piémont, Nice, Savoie.) The author, Joseph Sessa, a lawyer in the Savoie Senate, was also one of the judges appointed in Piedmont to regulate the affairs of the Jews. Minor rubbing on spine, raised bands and corners. Previous owner's signature on top of title-page. Very minor and sporadic yellowing and/or foxing throughout. Binding in overall good to very good, interior in very good condition.
