Artist/ School: Ronald Moseley (British b.1931), signed Moseley was born in Marple, Cheshire in 1931. After secondary general education, he attended Manchester School of Art. After two years National Service, where he mostly spent paintings portraits of his officers' wives, he went to Canada, where he pursued his favourite hobby of climbing and painting The Rockies. He then spent eleven years in South Africa, where wildlife, the African people and Table Mountain became his favourite subjects. Many of his works were commissioned by The World Wildlife Foundation. Since returning to England, he has settled in the North of England and his subject matter includes, the Lake District, the Cotswolds, Hunting and Scotland.
