Very charming Zushi with Daruma on a chair with his slippers on a footstool. Beautiful blue and white floral pattern painted marquise. The inside of the Zushi is gold-plated. The inside of the Zushi, the Daruma figurine on the chair and marquise are in good condition. Exterior has some paint flaking off. Beautiful richly decorated copper plating. Daruma or also called Bodhidharma (482–539) was a Buddhist master, also known as Daruma Daishi in Japanese and Pu Tai Ta Mo in Chinese. Bodhidharma is considered to be the founder of Chan or Zen Buddhism
