First edition, oversized folio, ten parts in one volume, each with hand-colored engraved sectional title pages decorated in red and gold inks (some title pages printed on paper stock smaller than that used for the plates); featuring 100 hand-colored engravings by Johann Jacob Haid and Johan Elias Haid after Georg Dionysius Ehret, each with the plant's Latin name hand-colored in red and gold; with three mezzotint portraits of contributors Trew, Ehret & Haid; contemporary handwritten notation of Latin names added to each plate; bound in full modern brown calf, antique style; 20 1/4 x 13 3/4 in.
