Triceratops Shed Tooth Triceratops horridus Late Cretaceous Newcastle Wyoming,...
Triceratops Shed Tooth Triceratops horridus Late Cretaceous Newcastle Wyoming, USA 0.73 x 0.57 x 0.39 inches (1.85 x 1.44 x 1.00 cm) This rather unassuming tooth was once part of a massive group of up to 800 hundred that filled the fearsome Triceratops horridus of the Cretaceous Period. Most of these teeth, like the one offered here, are shed throughout the life of a Triceratops once they are worn down. This particular example is in excellent condition with evidence of the normal wear expected from such a "shed" tooth. HID09710052018 © 2024 Heritage Auctions | All Rights Reserved
