Triumph - T120 R - Bonneville - 650 cc - 1974

[ translate ]

The Bonneville is one of the legends, you just have to look at the photos of Marlo Brondo, James Dean, etc. to be convinced.
\r
The T120 was introduced in 1959. It used a 649 cc, four-stroke, 360° in-line twin-cylinder engine. The gearbox is four-speed. This engine is not really new, since it is only a dual carburetor evolution of the one that fitted the Tiger 110, itself derived from the 500 Speed Twin and Tiger 100. It develops 47 hp for 166 kg dry , Braking is entrusted to single cam drums.
\r
In 1971, the frame became double cradle.
This frame is quite innovative in the sense that the central beam, a real backbone made of a large diameter curved tube, also serves as a reservoir and oil radiator, an innovation coming from racing and also seen in the French preparer George Martin. Strong and rigid, this frame significantly improves road holding provided it has good rear shock absorber spring combinations and stiffening of the fork springs.
\r
This motorcycle was completely dismantled, restored and reassembled in June 2016 for both the mechanical components (such as the gearbox, the engine, the brakes, the suspensions) , the frame and the paint, as evidenced by the photos taken during the work. .
\r
The motorcycle will require a small service before use (battery, bulbs, etc. ,,,,) .
\r
It will also be delivered with many spare parts (surplus) such as a second saddle, another headlight, a rear light, several indicators, several rubber pads for the footrests, gear levers, clutch levers, front brake, Triumph logos.
\r
Conventionally, it is preferable for the buyer to come and check the item before bidding.
