Northern Burkina Faso, third quarter, 20th century; designed to be broken down and easily transported by nomads, comprising four carved posts, 12 1/2 in. H.; a head rail and foot rail, each with incised decoration, 56 in. W.; and six long rails, each approx. 67 in. L.; together with a pair of Tuareg dyed and painted leather cushions.
Provenance: Consignor purchased from Galerie Lafon in Ouagadougou, circa 2000.
