This very rare map covers the Turkish Empire at the height of its power and is a close copy of Frederick de Wit's map of the region. The region extends from the Balkans to Persia and from Northern Africa through the Arabian Peninsula, and is filled with place names, topographical features, and notes. It is embellished with a fine title cartouche with three Turks, however Allard updates the cartouche with the figure at bottom left. In de Wit's map, the figure is a slave with his hands bound, in Allard's map, the slave is replaced by a king with bound hands and an arrow through his chest. An alternate title appears at the top of the map: "Nova Tabula. Et Acurata. Turcicum Imperium."
