An important antique French sterling silver soup tureen. It is is oval in shape and has a pair of handles on both sides. Inside there is a silver insert. There is a cone-shaped knob on the cover. It is hand chiselled. Manufactured in France between 1798-1809. Net weight of silver 2478 grams. Height max. 33,5 cm, length 42 cm. Silver marked the cock -1st title, the Paris guarantee mark and silversmith mark JGR. It is in very good condition, only insert have minimal inequalities on the bottom.
