Short Blunderbuss rifle or cavalry flintlock Escopette - Ottoman Empire / Turkey circa 1800: Barrel length: 27 cm Rifle length: 49 cm Calibre: approx. 18 mm Ottoman /Turkish flintlock blunderbuss from the early 19th century. Round, smooth barrel with hallmark in Arabic, silver-plated and flared at the muzzle. Some of the fittings are in decorated silver-plated metal; brass trigger guard and recoil pad. Lock engraved with geometric and floral patterns and a half-moon. Functional weapon, firm springs. Some discreet repairs to the wood, the butt was repaired at the grip.
