The first sculpture depicts a graceful Chinese female figure in flowing robes holding a stylized lotus flower and leaf. The figure may represent a celestial maiden, lady-in-waiting, or Guanyin. It is carved from light blue-green stone consistent with turquoise or a turquoise-type material, with subtle darker matrix markings.
