Raphael Soyer (Russian/American, 1899-1987) was a Russian-born painter, draftsman and printmaker; twin to the artist Moses Soyer (1899-1974) and the older brother of the painter Isaac Soyer (1907-1981).
This edition is one the earliest of several collaborations between Nobel Prize-winning author Isaac Bashevis Singer and Raphael Soyer.
