Twenty three English delftware tiles, c.1760-80, probably Liverpool, painted in blue with a central rose or peony bloom, the corners with stylised flower stems, 13cm. (23)
Cf. Jonathan Horne, English Tin-Glazed Tiles, p.67, pls. 374-376 for various treatments of this design. While Horne suggests Liverpool as the likeliest attribution he states that other areas of production should be considered, including an Irish attribution.
