The first with slightly curved blade (some rust patination and areas of pitting) fullered along the back on each side, brass hilt comprising heart-shaped guard engraved '3/48' and 'M. Cumberland', two side-bars swept-up to meet the knuckle-guard, swelling writhen grip, and globular pommel with button; the second of similar form, the blade stamped with running fox mark and initials of Samuel Harvey of Birmingham, and the guard engraved '4/4'; the last with double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section (some pitting), brass hilt with boatshell guard, reeded lobed quillons, knuckle-guard and pommel, globular pommel with button, and grip bound with copper ribbon and twisted copper wire (3)
