Two, 19th Century Japanese Imari Fish Plates

Japanese, 19th century. Two Imari palette fish shaped serving dishes decorated with blue underglaze and red overglaze floral with foliate accents. The large fish has a six character mark to the underside. Approx: (large plate) h. 2.75",w. 16", d. 10.25". Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. & Mrs. John E. Houser of Jacksonville, Florida.
Condition Report: Surface wear and loss to overglaze, more significantly on small plate.
