Two American Folk Art miniature chests, 19th century, comprising an American Country Empire style faux tiger maple painted four drawer chest and a black-painted five drawer chest with porcelain knobs.
Dimensions:Height of tallest 11 3/4in; width 11 3/4in; depth 7in.
Provenance:From a Chester County estate.
Condition Report: Each chest with nailed construction to drawer sides and bottoms. The faux grain-painted chest with marks, wear, losses and an overall cleaned down Surface. The backsplash is slightly loose. The black-painted chest retaining its original old dry Surface, typical marks, wear, scuffs and Surface scratches overall. There is a small loss to the lower front left of case.
