Two American Sterling Silver Galleried Drinks Trays

mid-20th century, including:
one by Wallace Silversmiths, Wallingford, Connecticut, circular with navette gallery and beaded rim, dia. 8-1/2"; and
the other by Meriden Britannia Co., Meriden, Connecticut, oval with imbricate gallery reed-and-ribbon rim, stirrup handles and conforming oak insert, monogrammed "CDF", l. 13", w. 8".
12.69 total t. oz. (excluding oak insert)
Condition Report: **The circular tray has a shallow 3/8" dent on the plateau and two other pinpoint dents in addition to the usual scattered dings and surface wear expected from age and use. The oval tray has numerous ripples along the lip which holds the oak insert (none visible when the insert is in place nor affecting its security). One large (2") and one much smaller ink stain on the oak insert. No breaks to the galleries of either; no repairs. Both marked (on the underside) the former with "Wallace / Sterling / 4571"; the latter with the Meriden trademark and "Sterling 53".
