Two Baroque Walnut Side Tables

Italian, 17th/18th century with some restorations, larger example with figured single board top with molded edges, on baluster turned legs with box stretchers and turned feet, 22-1/2 x 22 x 16-1/2 in.; smaller example with walnut throughout, rectangular top on turned legs with stretchers, 16 x 18 x 10-1/2 in. - Provenance: Estate of Paul W. Condition Report: larger example with cracks and checking to top, feet replaced, some scattered pest damage with some associated minor losses, other possible restorations (underside of top and upper rails with later black paint); smaller appears to have good integrity, typical scattered cracks, one breakout and repair to leg at joint with stretcher, one upper rail an old replacement (pine), one lower rail with two old nail scars at underside, old refinishing
