Two Botanical Woodcuts from Gerard's 'Herball' (1597)
A pair of English botanical woodcuts, each hand-colored, one of a mulberry tree and the other of yellow lilies. The sheets are each taken from John Gerard's The Herball, or Generall Historie of Plantes, first published in 1597, and popular through the 17th century. Each has been archivally framed by the American Legacy Gallery, each frame measuring 19" x 15".
Condition Report: Each is in very good condition. Not removed from the frames.
