Of square section with short flaring neck, each side moulded with panels of detailed scenes from court life, banded in black enamel, the neck with shou roundels and bats all reserved on a black ground. Period: 19th century. Height: 51 cm.

Wladimir Simon Semcesen (1906‑1969) born in Austria Hungary, settled in Oslo, Norway in 1936. In the 1950’s and 1960’s before the Cultural Revolution in China, he acquired works of art in China that he brought back to Europe.
