Two Chinese Teapots with Floral Decoration

probably Qing dynasty, yixing teapot with green painted ground, decorated in relief with applied and painted branches, leaves and plum flowers, floriform lid with impressed seal mark, 4 in.; famille rose porcelain teapot, decorated in relief with applied lotus pads and blossoms, impressed four character mark under handle attachment ring, 3-3/4 in. - Provenance: Collected in Shanghai, China prior to 1902 by Frederick and Margaret Haskell; By descent in family to Frances Arnold; Private Collection, Newnan, Georgia - Note: Objects from this personal collection were acquired in Shanghai, China between the years 1862-1902. They were collected by Frederick and Margaret Haskell. Mr. Haskell was the owner of the Japan and China Trading Company. The couple retired to Lake Weir Florida in 1902, bringing these collected objects with them to the United States and they descended through the family to current day. Condition Report: yixing teapot with clay construction flaws and separations to interior, lid with firing crack and chip to flange, glaze anomalies; porcelain teapot with scattered chips to applied decoration, handle attachment ring off but present, missing handle, chip to lid, small scattered hairlines, pin holes, and crazing, some paint loss; both with abrasions and surface wear consistent with age and use
