Note: During the late 17th and 18th century, Chinese export paintings and works of art could be found furnishing the rooms of the many Palladian mansions throughout England. Wallpaper panels, in this case depicting various stages of the porcelain production process, would adorn the walls of rooms built for entertaining, with some painted panels reaching over three metres high.
