The first with bright curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point, steel stirrup hilt with downbent rear quillon, knuckle-guard cut with fluting, pommel and back-piece in one, and leather-covered grip (worn), in original scabbard with shoe and rounded suspension mounts, the latter each with ring (hilt and scabbard with old pitting); the second of similar form (rust patinated overall); the last of regulation type, the blade stamped on one side at the forte with indistinct maker's name over 'ICS/500', and on the other with '1850', and brass hilt with integral ribbed grip, in its black leather scabbard (damaged, chape missing) with steel locket and heart-shaped frog-button (3)
