Two Continental glass caskets, late 19th/early 20th century, comprising: an opaline rectangular box with brass mounted and swing handles, 14cm high, 14.5cm wide, 10cm deep; and a gilt-heightened green glass box with metal mounts, decorated with foliage, 11cm high, 12cm wide, 7cm deep (2)
The opaline box has surface scratching throughout with some deeper scratches to the top of the lid, the brass mount to the base is slightly loose at one corner, the lid closes but does not shut fully. There is no key for this box. The green glass box has lost some of its gilding particularly to the lid, the metal mounts with some rust, and considerable scratching to the underside. There is no key for this box.
