After Edgar Degas (French, 1834-1917), Two Dancers Backstage (Deux Danseuses dans la Coulisse), antique soft-ground etching on paper depicting two ballet dancers backstage, a subject closely associated with Degass studies of the Paris Opera. Presented under glass with fabric matting in a decorative gilt frame. Verso retains labels bearing the names of previous collectors. Approximate sight size 5 x 4.5".
Dimensions: 13 X 11.5 X 1.5 in.
Condition: Good overall condition with toning and age-related discoloration visible to the sheet. The frame exhibits surface wear, finish loss, and losses to the decorative corner elements.
