Two Edwardian Scarves, 1901-10s
Both scarves are cut in a long rectangle and are made of a fine crepe. The off-white scarf is made of a crinkled crepe with a fold-back hem finished with a faggoting stitch. The black scarf is embroidered with small dots in a satin stitch and edged with a finely pleated trim.
No labels
Measurements, White: 26" W x 88" L
Measurements, Black: 20" W x 46" L

Condition:
Overall structure is good on both scarves. Wear is consistent with age. The white scarf has a few small brown spots, likely to improve with cleaning. On the black scarf, some of the hand-stitched trim is coming loose and there is one small repair near the border.
The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. As everything is sold 'as is', we suggest that you request a more detailed condition report and additional photo. This can be obtained via the INQUIRE button or by email at couturecr@lesliehindman.com. Condition is a matter of opinion and should not be treated as a statement of fact.
