glazed charger with fine crackle matrix, enamel decorated with intricate gilt designs, panels with various scenes depicting figures, birds, flowers, and auspicious objects, metal hanger attachment, 14-3/8 in.; small lobed plate with fine crackle matrix, enamel and gilt decorated, panels of geometric and floral decoration, center field depicting figures, 7-1/2 in.; mounted within a circular carved wood frame, 16 in. - Provenance: Collected in Shanghai, China prior to 1902 by Frederick and Margaret Haskell; By descent in family to Frances Arnold; Private Collection, Newnan, Georgia - Note: Objects from this personal collection were acquired in Shanghai, China between the years 1862-1902. They were collected by Frederick and Margaret Haskell. Mr. Haskell was the owner of the Japan and China Trading Company. The couple retired to Lake Weir Florida in 1902, bringing these collected objects with them to the United States and they descended through the family to current day.
