Two George III silver marrow scoops.
A George III silver marrow scoop, of typical double-ended form with engraved crest, hallmarked London 1789, maker's mark partly rubbed probably William Sumner I, length measuring 8 6/8 inches (22.5 cm). Together with a further George III silver marrow scoop with engraved initial, hallmarked London 1799, maker's mark partly obscured. Gross weight 2.9 ozt (91 grams). (2). In fair to good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Both are slightly worn round the edges of the bowls and tips. Would benefit from a clean and polish. Maker's marks slightly rubbed or partly obscured, other hallmarks clear and legible.
