Two George V silver casters.
An early George V small silver caster, of typical octagonal-sided bellied form to a footed base, with domed and pierced removable cover, hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1910. height to finial 6.5" (16.5cm). Together with a slightly larger similar example, hallmarked Sheffield 1928, same maker, height to finial 7.5" (19cm). Weight 8.08 ozt (251.2 grams). (2).
Condition Report:
- Both appear in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, tarnishing, marks and scratches, commensurate with the age and use.
- Small caster with slight bash to an area of the pierced lid.
- Large caster with very slight compression to foot.
- Both lids are a good fit and close securely.
- Hallmarks clear and legible with matching part hallmarks to each lid.
