Two Georgian silver basting spoons.

A George III silver basting spoon, of Fiddle Thread pattern, hallmarked William Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner, London 1812, length measuring 12 inches (30.5 cm). Together with a George IV silver basting spoon, of double struck Hour glass pattern with crested terminal, hallmarked London 1820, maker's mark partly distorted. Gross weight 11 ozt (343.5 grams). (2). In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Slight wear around the edge and tips of the bowls. Both would benefit from a clean and polish. Maker's mark on the George IV example is partly distorted W?, other hallmarks clear and legible.
