The first with spike of stiff diamond section (extreme tip missing), sharply pointed axe-blade of crescentric form and pierced with three slipped trefoils, beak-shaped fluke pierced with a single slipped trefoil and with a hook above and below, and riveted side-straps, on wooden staff, probably original (head acid cleaned); the second with long spike of stiff diamond section, crescentric axe-blade (fluke crudely replaced), and shortened riveted side-straps, on old wooden staff of rectangular section (2)
