Offered here for your buying pleasure are two handmade Navajo textile purses. These purses will give you a choice to fit your mood. One is vibrant with reds, greens, white, and strong brown colors woven in bold solid bands, linked chains, and a white triangle converging on a center design in a red band. The other is subdued with browns, gray, and white wools woven in a diamond pattern. Navajo weavings are sought after and these are very attractive examples of the Navajo weavers skill so bid today and make them yours!
Provenance - from the Blair family estate who owned the Red Mesa and Kayenta Trading Posts on the Navajo reservation dating back to the first half of the 1900s.
MAKER: Unknown Navajo weavers.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: The body of the red purse measures approximately 11 1/2 inches wide x 10 inches tall x 24 1/2 inches overall. The body of the diamond purse measures approximately 12 1/2 inches wide x 11 inches tall x 27 inches overall.
CONDITION: Average to good for their age, normal wear and minor imperfections expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
HANDLING: There will be a $8 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot.
SHIPPING: The actual cost of postage will be added on top of the handling charges.
