Offered here for your consideration are two Hopi coiled figural plaques. Baskets are vital to the Hopi for various religious and social ceremonies. Hopi baskets are among the finest such items produced by the Southwest’s Native people. Both plaques feature a figural design with vibrant colors. They would look great in your home or office today! Provenance - from the Blair family estate who owned the Red Mesa and Kayenta Trading Posts on the Navajo reservation dating back to the first half of the 1900s. MAKER: An unknown Hopi weaver. APPROX AGE: Vintage. SIZE: These plaques range in size from 6-1/2 to 10 inches across and 3/4 to 1-1/2 inches deep. CONDITION: Good for their age, normal wear and fading expected.
