Russia/Eastern Europe, 19th/20th Century. Two icons of saints with Christ above, tempera and gilt-painted on wood panel. One depicts Saint Michael Archangel with four saints (10 1/2" x 9 1/2"); the other two female saints (9 3/4" x 7 5/8"). Condition: both with scuffing/losses, the larger with considerably more wear/scratches, craquelure, spots of in-painting on border. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
