Two icons, tempera on wood panel, one with gold leaf halos: the Dormition of the Theotokos with Christ and the Soul of the Virgin (12 1/2" x 10 1/2" x 1 1/4"); and Saint George slaying the dragon (12" x 10 1/2" x 1 1/8"). Condition: the Dormition with some surface wear, edge dings, and spots of in-painting; the other with slight craquelure, scattered wormholes, and a few spots of surface loss in the border area; a stretcher missing on one. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
