second quarter 19th century, each with a blue ground, one with an exceptional pierced cover of encrusted flowers, h. 10-1/2", w. 5-3/4", d. 3-1/4", and the other with molded dolphin-head handles, h. 8-3/4", w. 5-3/4", d. 5-1/4", each signed "J.P." on the bottom in underglaze blue.

Condition Report: **The larger example with minor scattered repairs to the encrusted flowers, two restored corners on the base, and some rubbing to the gilt on the base. The other with scattered rubbing to the gilt; formerly fitted with a cover, now lacking.
